Conditions of website use

By accessing and using our website for any purpose of searching, referencing or booking, you acknowledge that you’re fully understanding and accepting, as well as agreeing not to violate our Terms and Conditions.

We recommend you to read the following terms and conditions carefully before purchasing our products. If you object to any of it please leave this website immediately.

Please also be noted that Bangkok Airline reserves the rights to cancel or terminate any booking if it’s in such case:

• (i) required by law.

• (ii) payment is not made in time.

• (iii) ticket availability issues.

• (iv) system errors or any technical problems that may cause us in processing customer’s request.

Acting as a travel agency, beside the ticket fare, ticketing fee and service fee should be collected per passenger on each flight and ticket price is not the same with other websites.

All information on this site is conducted and belongs to https://bangkok-airline.com/, which should not be used, copied, changed or modified by any individual or organization. Failing of this condition shall be involved to law.

I. Right to request passenger’s personal information:

As an online ticket agency, we reserve the right to ask you to provide the following additional information to prevent the risk of fraudulent transactions:

- Payment card: You may be requested to provide an image of the payment card showing the cardholder's name along with the card number information that covered the middle digits and only showing the first three digits and last three digits of the card.
 - Passport: You may be requested to provide the passport photos of both passengers and the card holder.

In case, after requesting or contacting many times but still not receiving the requested additional information, we reserve the right to cancel or terminate the paid booking.

These requests are for the purpose of protecting customers' benefits and preventing fraudulent transactions according to the request of international card organizations.

II. Baggage

  • Checked baggage and Carry-on Baggage is always displayed on each ticket class for easy checking before booking the ticket. While prepaid baggage and Excess baggage charge rates depend on each zone and weight.
  • Bellow baggage policy is only for reference and applied for flights operated by Bangkok Airways only. Baggage policy of Shared-Code flights will be subject to operator policy.

Important note:

  • Prepaid baggage fee is non-re-routable/non-transferable and non-refundable in any case even your actual baggage’s weight is less than the prepaid baggage paid. 
  • Prepaid baggage fee is non-refundable after confirmation email is sent out to your registered email address.
  • For passengers who wish to change to another flight due to the delay/cancellation, previously issued prepaid baggage may be carried over to the new flight. Change should be done at least 48 hours prior to your departure time.

3. Excess Baggage Rate Charge

For baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance, the passenger will be charged for the Excess Baggage Rate Charge. Excess Baggage Rate Charge is calculated as follows:

  • Domestic route: USD8 per kilogram per sector
  • International route: Excess Baggage Charge Rate depends on the zone as following table:

Important note:

- As per directive from Airport of Thailand, one checked baggage maximum weight is 32 kilograms. If baggage weight exceeds 32 kilograms per one piece, the baggage must be re-packed.

- Bangkok Airways accepts sports equipment as checked baggage as part of your standard baggage allowance. Any exceeded weight resulting from such inclusion shall be assessed at the Excess Charge rate above.

5. Special Baggages

  • One item defined as one bowling ball, one bowling bag, and one pair of bowling shoes and must be packed suitably.

3 Fishing equipment
  • Fishing Equipment is included in the allowance.
  • Maximum length: 109 inch (277 cm) for Airbus and 170 cm for ATR
  • A set includes one fishing tackle box, one landing net, one pair of fishing boots, 2 reels and 2 rods packed suitably.
4 Golfing
  • Can be accepted on all flight as checked baggage only.
  • Maximum of 1 golf set per passenger.
  • One golf set is inclusive of one golf bag, club sets and one pair of golf shoes.
5 Carriage of Hypodermic Needles
  • According to Thai law (and in accordance with international practices), hypodermic needles are classified as prohibited items within an aircraft cabin unless the passenger can demonstrate a bona fide need to have them in their possession.
  • Acupuncture needles are classified as prohibited items and are not allowed to be carried on to an aircraft cabin.
  • Passenger (and/or CIQ passenger) is required to carry a medical certificate or any other relevant documentation and identification to confirm that the hypodermic needles are required for use during the journey for a specified medical condition.
  • We allow passengers to carry sufficient number of needles as described in the medical certificate on board to cover the period from initial uplift and any onward transportation until the passengers are reunited with their checked baggage.
  • Hypodermic needle supplies in excess of the passenger’s in-flight travel requirements should be carried within checked baggage, where there is no restriction on the number of hypodermic needles you may carry.
  • Pen needles, syringes and injectable medicines are able to be accepted with no limitation and without Medical certificate or relevant documents.
  • PG allows using Insulin Pumps on board for medical use without doctor certification.

Note: Not all airport screening points are managed by Bangkok Airways and these screening authorities may have policies that differ from ours. Please check the regulations with the authorities of your destination, as these aforementioned policies may not be within the airlines control.

6 CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) & POC (Portable Oxygen Concentrator)
  • PG allows passengers to bring CPAP/POC devices in to the cabin but the passenger has to let down water from the CPAP to pass the security check.
  • If the CPAP has a battery, both built-in or external, it will be considered as ‘dangerous goods,’ as listed in the IATA Dangerous Goods Manual.
  • If the passenger has a lithium-ion battery exceeding a Watt-hour rating of 100 Watt-hours but not exceeding 160 Watt-hours, they may be carried as spare batteries in carry-on baggage, or in equipment in either checked or carry-on baggage. The airline kindly requests that no more than 2 individually-protected spare batteries per person may be carried on to the plane.
  • PG will allow the use of CPAP on board for medical use without a doctor’s certificate, but does not permit the use of POC on board.
7 Diving equipment

Diving equipment is accepted as checked baggage on all flights of Bangkok Airline providing it is packed properly. One set of diving equipment is inclusive of:

  • One scuba regulator.
  • One tank harness.
  • One tank pressure gauge.
  • Face mask.
  • One pair of fins.
  • One dive suit/vest.
  • Buoyancy control device (BCD).
  • Snorkel.
  • Weight belt.
  • One empty cylinder tank.
  • One diving lamp.
  • Spear Gun : must be unloaded with spear and must be packed separately.

Note: Diving lamps which contain rechargeable lead acid batteries (spillable) will not be accepted on board our aircraft as check-in or as hand baggage, as these items are listed as prohibited items under the Dangerous Goods Regulations.

8 E-Cigarette Regulations E-cigarettes are accepted as hand baggage to carry on to the plane but smoking is not allowed on board.
9 Firearms and Ammunition (Pistol)
  • Firearms and ammunition can be accepted on domestic flights as checked baggage only.
  • Each passenger is requested not to carry more than 5kg of ammunition.
  • The passenger must show the valid and proper document relating to their firearms and ammunition during check-in;
  • A license for purchase firearms or ammunition (Por. 3) or
  • A license for possession and use of firearms and ammunition (Por. 4) or
  • A license for carrying firearms and ammunition (Por. 12) or
  • A police identification card (used as firearm licenses) at Police Captain rank or higher rank or
  • A license or certificate for carrying firearms issued, under Thai law, to government officer, state enterprise, or person to possess and use for government support such as a license for carrying firearm of Department of Special Investigation officer (DSI) or a license for carrying issued by National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), etc.

Important Note: the copy of document relating to firearms and ammunition is not accepted on all flights.

Firearms will only be accepted if unloaded. Loose ammunition or clips shall not accept.

10 Skateboard Skateboards will be accepted as checked baggage but not cabin baggage.
11 Surfboard Surfboard will be accepted as checked baggage if the length of the surfboard does not exceed 109 inches (277 cm) for Airbus and does not exceed 170 cm for ATR.
12 Prohibited Items

You must not include in your Baggages:

-Items, which are reasonably, considered by us to be unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous, unsafe or because of their weight, size, shape or character.

-Firearms, ammunition and support instruments are prohibited from carriage as Baggage unless having acceptance from the authority. Explosives, explosive materials, flammable substances, items, which can be used as threatening weapons, and other dangerous substances may only be accepted as Checked Baggage, subject to Our Regulations. For safety reason, cartridges must be taken out from the guns. Cartridges must be suitably packed. Carriage of the firearms, ammunition and support instrument is subject to Our Regulations and those of ICAO, IATA, Airport Authorities.

- You are prohibited from including in your Checked Baggage, fragile or perishable items (fresh and perishable foodstuff…), artwork, cameras, money, jeweler, precious metals, silverware, computers, electronic devices, securities or other valuables, negotiable papers, contract, business documents, samples, passports and other identification documents, other valuable items.

6. Restricted Baggage

You must not include in your Baggages:

  • Items, which are reasonably, considered by us to be unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous, unsafe or because of their weight, size, shape or character.
  • Firearms, ammunition and support instruments are prohibited from carriage as Baggage unless having acceptance from the authority. Explosives, explosive materials, flammable substances, items, which can be used as threatening weapons, and other dangerous substances may only be accepted as Checked Baggage, subject to Our Regulations. For safety reason, cartridges must be taken out from the guns. Cartridges must be suitably packed. Carriage of the firearms, ammunition and support instrument is subject to Our Regulations and those of ICAO, IATA, Airport Authorities.
  • You are prohibited from including in your Checked Baggage, fragile or perishable items (fresh and perishable foodstuff…), artwork, cameras, money, jeweler, precious metals, silverware, computers, electronic devices, securities or other valuables, negotiable papers, contract, business documents, samples, passports and other identification documents, other valuable items.

7. Right to refuse carriage

  • The carrier may refuse to carry as Baggage the items described in Article #6, and we may refuse further carriage of any such items upon discovery that it is included in your Baggage. Unless advance arrangements for its carriage have been made with us, we may carry on later flights Baggage, which is in excess of the applicable free allowance.
  • The carrier may refuse to accept Baggage as Checked Baggage unless it is properly and securely packed in suitcases and suitable containers to ensure safe carriage with ordinary care in handling.

Important Note

We shall not check through Baggage for other Carriers where we do not have an interline agreement with them. Therefore, where you intend to arrive at an airport on another Carrier’s flight in order to connect with one of our flights or you intend to arrive at the airport on one of our flights in order to connect with another Carrier’s flight you must check in advance whether we have an interline agreement with them. If we do not, you are responsible for clearing your Baggage and having it checked-in and re-tagged for the next flight. In such circumstances, we are not liable for any Damage to you and to your Baggage.

8. Search & Scan

For reasons of safety and security we may request that you permit a search and scan of your person and a search, scan or x-ray of your Baggage. If you are not available, your Baggage may be searched in your absence for the purpose of determining whether you are in possession of or whether your Baggage contains any item described in Article 3. If you are unwilling to comply with such requests we may refuse to carry you and your Baggage. In the event a search or scan causes damage to you, or an x-ray or scan causes damage to your Baggage, we shall not be liable for such Damage unless due to our fault or negligence. We shall not be responsible for items kept by you or in your baggage, which are seized by security staffs subject to international rules or State Authority Regulations even such items are seized, destroyed or handed over to us.

III. Tickets

Ticket is the principal evidence of contract We will provide carriage only to the Passenger named in the Ticket, and you may be required to produce appropriate identification. You cannot transfer your Ticket. Tickets sold at discounted fares may partially or completely be non-refundable.

1. Loss, Mutilation, or Non-presentation etc., of Ticket

In case of loss or mutilation of a Ticket, (total or part of it), or non-presentation of a Ticket containing the Passenger Coupon and all unused Flight Coupons, upon your request, we will replace such Ticket (total or part of it) by issuing a new Ticket, provided there is evidence, readily ascertainable at the time, that a Ticket valid for the flight(s) in question was duly issued. In that case you have to sign an agreement to reimburse us for the fare applicable to the new Ticket in event, and to the extend, that the lost or missing Ticket or the missing Flight Coupons are used by any person, or that refund in respect thereof is made by any person. Where such evidence is not available or you do not sign such an agreement, the Carrier issuing the Ticket may require you to pay up to the full Ticket price for a replacement Ticket. This payment is only refunded if and when the original issuing Carrier is satisfied that the lost or mutilated Ticket has not been used prior to its expiry. If, upon finding the original Ticket before its expiry, you surrender it to the carrier issuing the new Ticket, the foregoing refund will be processed at that time.

2. Period of validity

Unused ticket is valid for 01 year from the issued date. For any special reason that prevent you from traveling as detailed on the ticket, please contact us to know about the extended conditions.

3. Reservation requirements

We or our Authorized Agents will record your reservation(s). Upon request, we will provide you with written confirmation of your reservation(s). Certain fares have conditions which limit or exclude your right to change or cancel reservations. You should check the conditions that apply to your fare and we are not responsible for your failure to do so.

4. Ticketing time limits

If you have not paid for the Ticket prior to the specified ticketing time limit as advised by us or our Authorized Agents, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.

5. Personal data

As an online booking agent we may use and disclose your personal information to third party that performs services such as Bangkok Airline or codeshares partners of Bangkok Airline (depend on each carrier). We may also share your information:

(i) to identify of fraud or error,

ii) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities,

(iii) to seek your feedback regarding our relationship with you, (iv) to protect our rights and safety,

(v) to third parties for the purpose of marketing and servicing our relationship.

The third parties that we share the information must protect it and must only use it for the purpose for which it was collected. However, we’re not responsible for ensuring this.

Other than above, we will not disclose your information without your acceptance unless required by law.

6. Seating

We will endeavour to honour advance seating requests. However, we cannot guarantee any particular seat. We reserve the right to assign or re-assign seats at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft. This may be necessary for operational, safety, government regulatory, health or security reasons. We will make reasonable seating accommodations for Passengers who need our assistance in accordance with applicable law.

7. Service charge when space not occupied

Except in the case of travel on non-refundable fares, a reasonable service charge, in accordance with Our Regulations, may be payable by you if you fail to use space for which a reservation has been made.

8. Special services

We will try to ensure that special services requested by you when you make your reservation, such as religious or dietary meals, or wheelchairs from the airport check-in to the aircraft are available. We will not however, be liable to you for loss, expense, breach of contract or other damage should we, for any reason, be unable to supply such previously requested service. If you are a passenger with a disability and you require any special assistance you should inform us at the time of booking of your special needs. We may require that you travel with an attendant if it is essential for the safety of the flight or if you are unable to evacuate yourself from the aircraft or you are unable to understand safety instructions. We reserve the right to cease accepting passengers who must travel on a stretcher on any flight. On flights where medical oxygen is permitted you may be charged for the service of medical oxygen (and you may be required to be accompanied by an attendant).

9. On board services

For operational reasons, we do not make any guarantees about the provision/availability of in-flight entertainment equipment and advertised programs; advertised special meals or any other type of meals; or the availability of advertised in-flight services.

10. Reconfirmation of e-ticket received

Our service is completed once the e-ticket is sent to the email address you submitted during the booking process. If you do not receive e-ticket (s) within 5 hours after payment made, please reconfirm by contacting us through our 24/7 supporting email cs@bangkok-airline.com.

We will consider your silence as receiving of our e-ticket email confirmation and should be no claiming upon that.

We are also not responsible for any delay/loss caused by the Wrong email addresses supplied by applicants or the situation the passengers no longer want to use the e-tickets. 

11. Cancellation of onward reservations

Please be advised that if you do not show up for any flight without advising us in advance, the return flight will be automatically canceled due to passenger did not on board for the departure flight.

12. Modification and Waiver

None of our employees, agents or representatives has authority to modify, change, or waive any provision of above-mentioned conditions. We reserve the right to modify, change or update above-mentioned conditions without prior notice. This kind of modification shall not be applied or affected to prior carriage.

12A. Schedule Change

Schedule change should be noticed to passenger by phone, email (to the registered email address when placed the booking).

If different time between original departure time and new departure time is below 3 hours, no fully refund request is accepted.

If different time between original departure time and new departure time is 3 hours or above, fully refund request is accepted.

12B. Security

To protect your privacy and confidentiality, our engineers are standing by 24/7 to deal with any problem that suddenly occurs. Additionally, we also regularly review and upgrade our security system and encryption technologies. All personal information is well managed to avoid any loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.

12C. Fare Rules

Depending our the fare type, you may request to cancel or change your current ticket to other travel date or flight title with same ticket class or higher classes (not allowed downing grade to lower classes) and charges (change/refund fee + different fee between two flights - if available) should be applied. Different ticket classes and different flight types (domestic and international) will have different charge policies as follows:

Changes

  • Name change: Not permitted. Please go to refund process instead.
  • Misspelling name: Must be the same person and apply the same fee as refund for promotional fares and nonrefundable fares - apply refund fee of refundable fare in the same sector.
  • Change fee rate depending on the route and different fee between original booking and new booking, please contact us through 24/7 email: cs@bangkok-airline.com for support on change procedure and fee.

 

Cancellation

  • Ticketing fee and service fee are not refundable in any case.
    The cancellation fees for different routes are different. Please contact us through 24/7 email: cs@bangkok-airline.com for support on cancellation fee.
  • We will only proceed to cancel and refund tickets after receiving passenger confirmation accepting the announced refund/cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be determined based on the time the passenger sends the confirmation email.

Important Note:

  • Combination fare between Web promotion and other classes will not be permitted for cancellation or refund.
    Taxes and Airport fee is not refundable for web promotion class.
  • We support passengers to cancel their tickets right after issuance with charges (advised on request) and conditions applied (ticket cancellation request should be sent to us within the issued date and before 23:00 PM following Thailand Time).
  • Once the E-ticket has been sent to registered email address, we have fulfilled our obligation to provide the service. We will not be responsible for handling situations that arise after you have made a ticket exchange, cancellation or refund with the Airline.
  • The above general fare rules are for reference only. Specific fare rules may vary and different from the general fare rules and should be provided on request.
  • In cases of force majeure problems such as natural disasters, epidemics, etc., the above fare rules (refund/reschedule/reroute) may not be applied and must comply with the Airline's own policies during that period.
