FLIGHTS TO Bangkok’S FAQ
A span of 3 days in Bangkok isn't long, but it's enough to let you appreciate most of the things Bangkok has to offer. Exquisite temples like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), and the grandeur of the Grand Palace are among the must-see attractions that you can visit in 3 days.
The first rule of Bangkok shopping: if there’s no barcode or set price, get haggling. It’s expected. Even so, instead of adopting a confrontational attitude, try the gracious and smiley, “What’s your best price, my friend?” approach.
Aim to chip anything from 10-40% off the quoted price. And by all means, walk away if the price is disagreeable – more often than not, you’ll be called back for last-ditch negotiations!
Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)is the the main gateway to Thailand for tourists. The location of Bangkok's international airport, around 30Km east of the city centre, makes it relatively quick and easy for visitors to head straight to the island after arriving.
Taxis will cost 300 to 400 baht including the tolls and the B50 airport fee. Skytrain and taxi – A little cheaper (and if traffic is bad also quicker) than taking a taxi the entire route is to take a taxi from the airport to Mo Chit Skytrain station on the Sukhumvit line – then Skytrain into the city
Always be prepared to arrive at least 2 hours before international departures or an hour before domestic departures. Your arrival at the main terminal building may be through a terminal gate or bus gate, depending on your airline and flight route.
